Balázs Fazekas

Balázs Fazekas, a young pianist born on the border of Hungary and Slovakia, showed his extraordinary talent in music from a very young age. He won several competitions as a boy and was recognized as a laureate. At the age of 15, he began studying at the musical conservatory in Kosice, and he had already won 3rd prize at an international Toperzer Competition and a special prize from EMCY. His study in Košice was full of concerts and competitions over Europe.

2015

After four years of study, he won 1st prize at the I. Chopin International Competition in Vienna, with a special prize of concerts in Poland.

2016

In 2016, Balazs Fazekas formed a PianoDuo with Kateryna Shapran.

2019

From 2019 he lives in Düsseldorf and study at the Robert Schumann Music Academy.

2022

In 2022, he was a semi-finalist on an International Chopin Competition in Darmstadt.
